  <dc:description>The Lecturers Club grew out of an unsuccessful movement led by Corrigan to fix a minimum course fee so inferior teaching was no longer offered at a cheaper price. Although there was not agreement on this many of the lecturers involved formed themselves into a 'social medical club' for mutual support and advancement of the profession. The book contains minutes of the club meetings, lists of members, and accounts detailing subscriptions and expenditure.</dc:description>
