  <dc:description>This is an angled forceps known as Tilley’s forceps, characterised by serrations at the tip of each jaw. It features finger rings, and markings ‘Down England 5/5’ on the outer surface of one handle, and a ‘T’ on the inner surface. A handwritten addition is ‘L’. It is used to remove soft polyps, to extract foreign bodies affecting hearing, or for nasal packing.</dc:description>
