  <dc:title>Rib Cutting Forceps</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rib cutting forceps, screw joint, composed of a blade and a slightly spiraled hook, similar to a raspatory of the Doyen's type. The handles are flat and slightly bowed and pull apart when in use, and they were provided with a plier style grip handle (now missing). The shears separate into two halves and connect via a pivot with a pin. Markings on the inside of the handles saying 30 and potentially a Fannin company symbol of 'F' in a circle. Rib shears are used for cutting through the ribs during surgery.</dc:description>
