<dc:title>Embassy No 4 Thermometer in Case</dc:title>
<dc:description>The metal case, which resembles a pen designed to be carried in a coat pocket, houses the thermometer. The case’s twistable cap bears the inscription “Embassy Hinks Wells & Co. England No. 4 Regd”. The metal case is made by Hinks, Wells and Co, manufacturer of pens, whereas the thermometer was made by the clinical and laboratory thermometers makers G.H. Zeal. The thermometer, attached to the lid, is made of clear glass. A white coating beneath the scale enhances the readability of the numbers and the temperature indicated by a red string. The scale measures temperature in Fahrenheit from 40 to 40. The white coating is inscribed with “Bath temps Cool 66 Temp 78 Tepid 87 Warm 98 Hot 105 Baby’s food 98” and “G.H. Zeal London”.</dc:description>
