  <dc:title>Weitlaner Retractor</dc:title>
<dc:description>This is a self-retaining, finger ring retractor with a cam ratchet lock and 3×4 blunt interlocking teeth. It is the Weitlaner's type. Inscribed with a cirlced F, "Chrome-Plate", and the number 0. These retractors allowed for hands-free operation during a surgery. The instrument is widely used in orthopaedic but also with small, deep incisions and soft tissue dissection at a superficial level. It was designed by the austrian doctor F. Weitlaner, as he operated alone in a small village of Austria and needed to make up for the lack of surgical assistants to provide retraction.</dc:description>
