Booklets and leaflets File consisting mainly of booklets and leaflets received by Dr McSweeney. Many of these items describe new equipment and pharmaceutical products such as antibiotics, antiseptics, vitamins, aureomycin, diphenan, streptomycin, and terramycin. The file also contains a copy of The Glaxo Volume (An occasional contribution to the Science and Art of Medicine), a catalogue of medical books, copies of the Physician's Bulletin, a copy of Seminar magazine, a Wellcome Research Foundation booklet, and items relating to topics such as vitamin research, skin diseases, clinical practice in infectious diseases, advances in treatment, essential fatty acids, trends in obstetrics and gynaecology, airborne disease, female menstruation, dietary safeguards in pregnancy, renal diseases, diphtheria, and rheumatic diseases. There is also some material in the the file relating to Dr McSweeney's private life, such as a copy of Rules and Regulations of the Dublin University Club, a booklet from the Mount Street Club, a copy of the Cork University Record, and tickets to plays and rugby matches. c. 1934-c.1953
