| Description | The records in this series concern Constable's research regarding the provenance; identification and authentification of works by Wilson. They also include requests for images.
The files include correspondence with owners, colleagues and dealers; and notes on paintings in both public and private collections. The files contain very few photographs. Where these exist, they tend to have been filed in the individual catalogue entry files (see WGC/1/1). A small number may also be found in the Centre's Photographic Archive [see URL below]. |
