Description | This file contains thirty letters from Fischel concerning his and Oppé's shared research interests in the works of Raphael. Also included are two replies from Oppé, dated 4 & 23 Nov 1938, and various proof-reading notes. Most letters are in German, although some have been translated into English.
Also included are thirty-three letters, dated between 25 Feb 1938-20 Feb 1939 concerning to Oppé's attempts to, and eventual success in, helping Fischel to leave Berlin to live in England. Correspondents include:
